Instructions
Cover your work space with parchment paper.

Remove the ink cartridge from the pen casing with the pliers.

Condition the clay so it is soft and smooth.
Clean your hands after using a dark colored clay.

Flatten the clay to 1/8 inch thick flattened sheet.

Trim the clay to the length of the pen.

Wrap the pen casing with the flattened clay sheet.

Smooth the clay seam with your fingers until the seam disappears.

Roll the clay covered pen back and forth gently on a hard surface.  Cover the ends of the pen casing.  Do not cover the opening for the ink cartridge.

Embellish the pen casing.

Place the pen casing on a baking sheet lined with a piece of parchment paper.

Bake at 275 degrees for 15 minutes per 1/4 inch clay thickness.  Do not over bake.  I baked my pen for 45 minutes.  Allow to cool, then reinsert the ink cartridge into the pen casing with pliers.

You can seal your pen with spray acrylic or Mod Podge if you like.
Your pen is ready to use.
